I found a new hiding spot today, and I don’t know how long it will last so I’m going to enjoy it while I can.  Little Sister was playing in her room while Mom cooked dinner when we all heard a big noise that didn’t sound good.  Mom went running into Little Sister’s room to see what was up, and Little Sister knocked a hole in her closet door!  She was riding her rocking horse a little too close to the door, and when she rocked back really hard she slammed the leg into the door making a hole in it.

Dad said it’s because the closet doors are cheap and crappy, not to mention old.  The doors are also hollow, so when the rocking horse leg went through the door it went all the way through it, and now I have a tunnel to the closet!  Dad said he’s going to fix it asap, so I’m going to enjoy my closet tunnel while I can.  I climbed through there earlier and found a nice little spot in the corner to curl up.  Well, I thought it was a nice spot until I woke up with an umbrella up my bum.  Too bad I don’t have umbrella liability insurance. I could’ve gotten some money for the pain, or at least I thought so until Mom informed me that umbrella liability insurance doesn’t actually have anything to do with umbrellas. How was I supposed to know that? I’m just a cat! Anywho, I think I should crawl back through my tunnel and go hide out again before Dad closes my hole up foreverz!

I’m glad Bubba had fun at the creek this morning because Mom and I really enjoyed all the quiet time I got while he was away with Dad.  Little Sister spent the night with MomMom, so Mom and I had the house all to ourselves.  I did what I do best.  I spent most of the morning sleeping while Mom was curled up on the couch being lazy reading a book on her kindle.

The quiet can only last so long, so the house got noisy again when Dad and Bubba came home.  Then Mom and Dad picked up Little Sister, and the house got really loud!  Oh well.  I enjoyed it while it lasted.

I’m having so much fun today!

Because it’s so hot outside Daddy took me down to the creek and let me play in it for a bit while he bushhogged the clearing.  When he was done we walked around and picked up some of the golf balls he’s lost. Daddy and cousin Matt both practice their swing down there, so there were tons of golf balls everywhere.  Neither of them have personalized golf balls, so I don’t know if all the ones we found were Daddy’s or not. He said it doesn’t matter because they all go in a bucket in the shed for everyone to use anyway. I had so much fun helping him find them. After Daddy showed me a couple I went straight to the ones I saw and picked them up for him.

I hope we get to do that again soon. I love going down to the creek to play, and today was a beautiful day to do it. We we got home Mommy gave me a bath in my new shampoo, Xylecide AntiFungal Shampoo. She didn’t want the creek water making me smell bad or irritating my skin, so she washed it off as soon as we got home. This shampoo is awesome!  It’s made me feel so much better in no time, and it’s working better than any of the sulfur shampoo we buy from the vet guy.  I think we have a winner!

Now Daddy is outside working on his motorcycle, and I think it’s time for me to take a nap.

Alley is such a big baby.  As soon as Mommy told him I’m not going to dies Alley started whining because I’ve been getting all the attention.  Is he really going to get all jealous? I’ve need attention!  I’ve been sicks!  I have an excuse to be a big baby.  He doesn’t!  I think maybe he needs some bsn axis ht to boost his testosterone so he’ll stop acting like such a girl!

I guess he doesn’t really understand what it’s like to be so sick you don’t feel like doing anything and you want to lay around and be a baby.  The only time he’s ever really been close to who I feel is when he had his surgery.  I didn’t get all jealous when he was getting Mommy’s attention.  He needed it.

And trust me, I wish I could feel great all the time.  I wish I didn’t have demodectic mange, and I wish mine wasn’t so severe I’ll have to live with it forever.  A case as bad as mine doesn’t get better as I get older.  It actually tends to get worse, and this time it’s been really bad.  Mommy has done everything she could to help me get better, but Mommy and the vets can only do so much to make me comfortable.

My meds and anti-bacterial baths are helping, so hopefully I’ll be back to good as new in no time.  Speaking of baths it’s time for Mommy to give me my daily bath to sooth my skin, so I better get outside!

He is eating again. In fact he just gobbled down a whole bowl of food with yogurt. He can keep begging for the table scraps all he wants, but he knows he’s not getting the stuff he can’t have, mainly proteins.

Ellie is trying to keep him comfortable while he sleeps. She gave him a stuffed animal to sleep with. She wanted to give him her Owl book bag that she thinks is a stuffed animal, but I convinced her otherwise.  I dropped Ellie off with my Grandparents for a bit so I can give Bubba another one of his medicated baths.  As soon as he saw me grab the leash and shampoo he hopped up and met me at the door.  We actually went on a pretty nice walk before his bath, and he’s getting a bit of pep back in his step.  That’s a really good sign!

So, we’re doing everything we can to get him better asap.  With his history I’m honestly surprised we’ve made it as long as we have with another bacterial infection…a couple years actually.  During the first 2 1/2 years of his life we battled one nasty infection after another, and this is the first major one he’s had since 2010.
