I’m having so much fun today!

Because it’s so hot outside Daddy took me down to the creek and let me play in it for a bit while he bushhogged the clearing.  When he was done we walked around and picked up some of the golf balls he’s lost. Daddy and cousin Matt both practice their swing down there, so there were tons of golf balls everywhere.  Neither of them have personalized golf balls, so I don’t know if all the ones we found were Daddy’s or not. He said it doesn’t matter because they all go in a bucket in the shed for everyone to use anyway. I had so much fun helping him find them. After Daddy showed me a couple I went straight to the ones I saw and picked them up for him.

I hope we get to do that again soon. I love going down to the creek to play, and today was a beautiful day to do it. We we got home Mommy gave me a bath in my new shampoo, Xylecide AntiFungal Shampoo. She didn’t want the creek water making me smell bad or irritating my skin, so she washed it off as soon as we got home. This shampoo is awesome!  It’s made me feel so much better in no time, and it’s working better than any of the sulfur shampoo we buy from the vet guy.  I think we have a winner!

Now Daddy is outside working on his motorcycle, and I think it’s time for me to take a nap.

Alley is such a big baby.  As soon as Mommy told him I’m not going to dies Alley started whining because I’ve been getting all the attention.  Is he really going to get all jealous? I’ve need attention!  I’ve been sicks!  I have an excuse to be a big baby.  He doesn’t!  I think maybe he needs some bsn axis ht to boost his testosterone so he’ll stop acting like such a girl!

I guess he doesn’t really understand what it’s like to be so sick you don’t feel like doing anything and you want to lay around and be a baby.  The only time he’s ever really been close to who I feel is when he had his surgery.  I didn’t get all jealous when he was getting Mommy’s attention.  He needed it.

And trust me, I wish I could feel great all the time.  I wish I didn’t have demodectic mange, and I wish mine wasn’t so severe I’ll have to live with it forever.  A case as bad as mine doesn’t get better as I get older.  It actually tends to get worse, and this time it’s been really bad.  Mommy has done everything she could to help me get better, but Mommy and the vets can only do so much to make me comfortable.

My meds and anti-bacterial baths are helping, so hopefully I’ll be back to good as new in no time.  Speaking of baths it’s time for Mommy to give me my daily bath to sooth my skin, so I better get outside!

We got to go to the park today!  I love going to the park!  Mommy and Daddy took Lil Sister and me so we could run around and play for a bit.  I think we mostly got to go because Lil Sister is full of energy today and needed to run some of it off, but we both had fun.  Daddy took me for a long walk around the lake (note that a long walk for me is walking up and down the beach twice) while Mommy let Lil Sister play on the swings.

We were going to grill out at one of the public grills for lunch, but we didn’t get to.  There was a group of loud people taking up the other grill spot, and they were getting on Mommy’s nerves.  The park is smoke free, but two of the men were smoking cigars.  Daddy smokes cigars, too.  He likes Rocky Patel cigars, but he doesn’t smoke them in places that are smoke free or around Lil Sister at all.  He says there is a time and a place to enjoy a cigar, and that was not one of them.  So…we packed up our stuff and came home.

We still got to grill out.  Daddy stopped by the store on the way home and picked up a bag of charcoal, and he grilled the food while Mommy let Lil Sister and me run around our yard to play some more.  I think we’re both totally worn out now.  Lil Sister just curled up in her bed for a nap, and I think I’m about to join her.  I like to sleep in the floor next to her.  That way she won’t roll off the bed and get hurt!

I wish I could find Mommy’s camera because Alley looks so funny right now!  PopPop stopped by to see little sister before he goes to work, and he’s on his motorcycle.  He left his HJC RPS-10 helmet sitting in the recliner upside down, and Alley decided to make it his new bed. He’s balled up deep inside the helmet, and you can’t even see him unless you climb up in the chair!  I can’t wait to see PopPop’s face when he goes to put his helmet on!  Then again he’s probably used to it because his cats like to sleep in his helmet, too.  I bet is head will be warm when he puts it on.

I am love love LOVING this beautiful weather we’ve been having!  Mommy let me spent a few days sunning in the yard before the stuff that triggers my bad allergies starts up.  I tried to help Mommy and Lil Sister put dirt in the planters for their container garden, but that didn’t go too well. Lil sister wanted to dump the dirt on me, and I just wanted to dig in it. I think Mommy banned us both from filling planters for awhile!
