I found a new hiding spot today, and I don’t know how long it will last so I’m going to enjoy it while I can.  Little Sister was playing in her room while Mom cooked dinner when we all heard a big noise that didn’t sound good.  Mom went running into Little Sister’s room to see what was up, and Little Sister knocked a hole in her closet door!  She was riding her rocking horse a little too close to the door, and when she rocked back really hard she slammed the leg into the door making a hole in it.

Dad said it’s because the closet doors are cheap and crappy, not to mention old.  The doors are also hollow, so when the rocking horse leg went through the door it went all the way through it, and now I have a tunnel to the closet!  Dad said he’s going to fix it asap, so I’m going to enjoy my closet tunnel while I can.  I climbed through there earlier and found a nice little spot in the corner to curl up.  Well, I thought it was a nice spot until I woke up with an umbrella up my bum.  Too bad I don’t have umbrella liability insurance. I could’ve gotten some money for the pain, or at least I thought so until Mom informed me that umbrella liability insurance doesn’t actually have anything to do with umbrellas. How was I supposed to know that? I’m just a cat! Anywho, I think I should crawl back through my tunnel and go hide out again before Dad closes my hole up foreverz!

I’m glad Bubba had fun at the creek this morning because Mom and I really enjoyed all the quiet time I got while he was away with Dad.  Little Sister spent the night with MomMom, so Mom and I had the house all to ourselves.  I did what I do best.  I spent most of the morning sleeping while Mom was curled up on the couch being lazy reading a book on her kindle.

The quiet can only last so long, so the house got noisy again when Dad and Bubba came home.  Then Mom and Dad picked up Little Sister, and the house got really loud!  Oh well.  I enjoyed it while it lasted.

To be honest I’m really really worried about Bubba. It has been a week since his skin erupted in a nasty breakout, and he doesn’t look good at all. Mom has been giving him medicated baths and all his medicines, but it’s not looking good.

Mom said he’s got an appointment with the vet again tomorrow, but I’m afraid he’s so sick he might not make it that long. He’s curled up in Mom’s bedroom floor on a blanket, and he doesn’t want to move. He’ll get up to go out to pee when he needs to, and he’ll move around the house some, but mostly he just wants to lay around, and that’s before Mom gave him his Benedryl. It’s not that he can’t walk, but he’s definitely lethargic. Mom says he needs to do a lot of resting to get better, so I hope it’s not something worse. He’s running a fever, and Mom’s keeping it stable but it’s not going down. She says his body is trying to fight the infection.

His skin does look better, but his overall condition is much worse than a week ago. He didn’t want to eat for two days. Mom finally got him to eat some last night, but it wasn’t a lot. He’s more or less nibbling. She can get him to eat table food, but it’s a catch 22. With his skin allergies he needs special food, and he won’t touch that. He only wants to eat the stuff that could make him break out worse.

I really hope he gets better soon. I know I’m mean to him sometimes, but I really love Bubba. He’s my brother, and I don’t know what I’ll do if we lose him!

I feel so bad for Bubba today.  He’s been doing so great in the last couple of years with his skin allergies, but he had a sudden break out last night.  Mom couldn’t get him an appointment with the vet until Monday (yeah, that’s a long time), so she’s got him doped up on Benadryl and his other medicine the vet called in for him trying to keep his breakout under control.

Bubba is out of it right now.  He’s been curled up in the kennel all morning trying to sleep.  I’m sure the Benadryl makes him feel really tired, but he needs it so his breakout doesn’t get any worse.  He has to be doped up really well to sleep through all the noise Mom has been making.  She bought little sister kids switchplate covers for her bedroom and the bathroom, and Mom has been running the cordless screwdriver thingy…and it’s loud!

Poor Bubba! I hope he gets to feeling better soon! I hate seeing him sick like this. I hope Mom can get him cleared up and back to normal in no time.

I guess I finally hinted around about Mom and Dad getting their taxes done enough that they finally did it!  I saw the new tax envelope laying on Mommy’s desk yesterday, so I guess that’s where they were all morning.  It’s about time!  I’ve been dropping hints like leaving the website for raleigh accountant carson thorn open on Mom’s laptop so she would have to see it.

Why do I care about taxes? Because they get money! If Mom and Dad have more money that means they can spend more on me!  You know how they could get even more money?  If they could claim me and Bubba as dependents.  I mean, we depend on them for food and water.  We depend on them to take us to the vet to keep us healthy.  We depend on them for a nice comfy house to sleep in.  Doesn’t that count?
