Why is Alley always trying to rat me out and get me in trouble?  Okay, so the last time I got in trouble it was my own fault, but Alley always tries to make it worse by telling the world what I did wrong.  He brags about how he thinks he’s this perfect kitteh who never does anything bad.  Well I got news for him.  I live with him, and he’s far from an angel!

Just today he got in trouble because he decided he wanted to take a nap in the basket on the bathroom counter.  It wouldn’t have been so bad, but Mommy puts all her makeup and girlie stuff in there, and Alley fell asleep on Mommy’s fake lashes.  When he woke up they were stuck to his butt, and Mommy ended up having to cut them out of his fur! I admit it was pretty funny. His butt looked like a face!

Now, if Mommy would use some of that stuff that makes your lashes grow in thicker (click here to see what I’m talking about) she wouldn’t have lost her only pair of fake lashes. She really only uses them for Halloween anyway, but that shouldn’t matter. Alley should know better than to sleep anywhere he dang well pleases! He thinks he rules this house, but I’ve got news for him. He’s definitely mistaken on that one!

Mom and Bubba are both in so much trouble! Last night Mom let lil sister paint her first pumpkin. She spread newspaper out in the floor, gave lil sister some finger paints, and she painted away. I thought it was awesome because she was so busy with the pumpkin she left me alone for awhile!

Anyways, that’s not why they’re in trouble. The trouble started when Mom grabbed the wrong newspaper. She was supposed to use the old one because Dad hadn’t looked at the job ads yet, but she accidentally used the new one. Dad got pretty mad even though if it’s anything like the ads over the last year have been it was full of jobs like Prosthodontist Jobs and other jobs Dad isn’t qualified for. He’s busy looking for something because even though he found a new job in September he’s already laid off again.

Now you’re probably wondering how Bubba fits into all of this.  Well, you see, Mom left the pumpkin sitting on the newspaper in the kitchen last night so the paint could dry.  I don’t know if it was the newspaper, the pumpkin, or a combo of both, but Bubba decided he needed to pee in the middle of the night, and instead of begging at the door as usual he peed all over lil sister’s pumpkin!  Yeah, he’s in trouble, and now Mom is going to have to get another pumpkin so lil sister can paint it today!

This morning I was curled up on the couch with Mommy watching a show about dog shows, and I just had to wonder…why hasn’t Mommy ever put me in a dog show?  I can strut my stuff just like all those other dogs!

Then I thought about how I blew the competition away in the vet’s Halloween costume contest 2 years in a row.  Maybe Mommy knows I’d run all over the competition.  Daddy would have to build a whole bunch of shelves just to hold all my trophies! I’m sure you’re rolling your eyes at me, but I don’t care. I’m BEA-U-TI-FUL inside and out!

Mom is stomping around here in a bad mood today.  I don’t know if it’s because she stayed up way too late last night, or if it’s because she just found out the Clemson game next week will kickoff at noon.  She has been planning lil sister’s birthday party, and it’s set for 12-2pm because most of the games have been after 3:30.  She just found out the game is going to be right in the middle of the party!

The party is going to be at the park across the road from MomMom and PopPop’s house, so I heard Mom ask Dad if she could get away with buying a huge cable line and running it to a TV at the party.  She’s so silly!  That’s like the time she wanted to get one of those lcd projectors so they could project movies on the back of the barn. Yeah, Dad didn’t give into that one either.

I’m sure she’ll just end up setting the DVR, but which Mom in a bad mood I think I’m going to hide out for the rest of the day. I don’t feel like getting yelled at or accidentally booted across the room because she was too ill to pay attention to where she was going!

I know I’ve been slack, and I never got a chance to tell you Alley is okay.  Well I mean his foot is fine, and he just had a hang nail.  I’m not sure he’ll ever really be “okay” ya know?  I think he’s sniffed a little too much catnip for that!

Anywho, I guess his foot still hurts because he hasn’t been very active lately.  Whenever I try to play he doesn’t want to be bothered.  I’m starting to get a bit lonely over here!  Maybe Mommy should let me use her gamestop coupons to order one of those pet games for the Wii. Maybe if I had my own virtual pet I’d have somebody to play with when Alley doesn’t want to play.

I’ve got little sister to play with, too, but she’s going through a mean phase.  I’d rather play with a fake pet than with a mean 2 year old!
