That’s it. We need a bigger house! Where does Mom expect me to sleep when she’s got computers spread all over the place? I know she says we need the extra money, so she’s taking as many repairs as she can handle right now, but I don’t like giving up all my favorite sleeping spots in her room. Lately I’ve liked to curl up on a pillow on the dresser, but I can’t do that anymore. She put my pillow in the floor, so she could have extra room to put the computers she’s working on. A few days ago it was a desktop. This morning it’s three acer laptop computers she’s got to work on this week.
I just want my favorite sleeping spot back! We didn’t have this problem before little sister was born. We had plenty of room because Mom had her own office where she worked on computers, but when little sister arrived Mom turned her office into a nursery. That means Mom’s office got spread all over the place.
I don’t see what the problem is. Dad’s a carpenter, so why can’t he just build us more rooms? He could build Mom an office, and a special kitteh room would be nice, too. Oooh, and maybe he could build a dungeon to lock Bubba in when he’s being especially annoying! I can dream can’t I?

Dad almost sat on me this morning. I saw him coming at me and I ran like hell on four paws because I knew he was going to squish me if he made contact. That’s when I realized Mom is right. Dad has definitely gained weight while he’s been unemployed. He’s still really active, but he gets stressed out over finances and eats a lot more. Mom complains about it, and she’s trying to keep him on a diet to help him stay healthy, but it hasn’t been working very well.
Dad is already a big guy. He would be the “charts” even when he’s at a normal size for his body. His doctor says he can’t go by the standard BMI charts because Dad has “heavier bones”. He doesn’t have your average build. The BMI charts say at 6’0″ he should weigh between 136-184lbs. Even in the Army Dad didn’t weigh that! The doctor says Dad’s healthy weight should actually be between 215-225lbs, and mostly he was able to maintain that until Mom says he started eating with all the pregnant women around him. They call him their “eating buddy”.
Then Dad got laid off, and his weight rose even more. Now he’s about 290lbs, and Mom said she’s got to do something to help him get healthy before he ends up turning into a 500 pounder! She wants to put him on a strict diet, but I think he needs more than that. Maybe she should buy liporexall to help him, too. I know Mom wants him to be all healthy in how he loses the weight, but I think the quicker the better. That way he’s less likely to turn me into a kitteh pancake!

Sorry I haven’t blogged in awhile. We’ve been having lots of stuff going on around here that wouldn’t let me blog. First we’ve had lots of bad weather, and it makes it hard to get online. Mom won’t let us use the computers when the weather is bad. I have to admit I’m not normally scared when we have thunderstorms even though Mom and Bubba are, but lately we’ve been having some nasty ones that are scaring even me. The wind has been super scary, and sometimes I wish we lived in one of those commercial steel buildings because they look big, sturdy, and very safe.
The other bad thing about the storms is they keep knocking the power out. No power means no computer or internet. When the power doesn’t go out the cable does, so yet again we get stuck with no internet.
Then there’s the case of the hacker. Last week Mom’s blogs got hit by a hacker, and since they are hosted on the same account as our blog her host disabled all our blogs until it was fixed. Stupid hacker! Thankfully Mom and her host got it taken care of, and now we’re all safe to blog again.
See, I told ya it just hasn’t been a good time for me to blog. I guess it just wasn’t in the cards or something.

Yay! Our blog is working again! I’ll tell you all about what happened and why we disappeared later, but I’m a little short for time right now. I just wanted to pop in while Mommy isn’t hogging the computer to say…
Happy Birthday, Alley!
You might drive me crazy, but you’re still my little brudder, and I love you! I hope you have a great birthday. I know you’ve spent most of it sleeping in your favorite window, but I think Mommy has a surprise for you tonight! Just don’t tell her I told you!

Why is it the one time I actually feel like snuggling up on the couch for some hooman loving Mom tells me no? Actually she chased me away! She got all mad because I laid down in the big stack of coupons she was sorting through. I don’t care about saving money on toothpaste, laundry detergent, and dental supplies for Nana. I wanted to snuggle and I wanted it now! I promise not to sleep on the cat food coupons. She’ll need those to buy me lots and lots of yummy food to eat, but the rest shouldn’t matter. Loving me comes before coupons any day!
