Happy Birthday Aunt Sam!  We wuvs you!

Ahhh…the sound of silence. Most of the household is asleep. Bubba and Dad are curled up in bed, and Mom finally let me have some time at the computer while she makes breakfast. I read a few cat blogs, now I’m ready to help Mom do some Christmas shopping. I know, nobody wants to hear that word “Christmas” right now, but Mom said it’s just around the corner. She’s got lots of shopping to do, and I’m going to make sure she gets everything on my wishlist.

I’ve been peeping over her shoulder a lot, and I think I’ve figured out how to use that plastic card thing in her purse. She finds what she wants to buy, pulls that plastic card out of her purse, types in some numbers, and the next thing ya know something in a box shows up on our doorstep! Normally the box is all I care about because what’s in the box isn’t for me, but if I can figure out how to get that card thing out of her purse I might have to buy lots of stuffs for me!

You know, Mom would have a lot more money to spend on me if she didn’t have to buy so much for all those other hoomans. I think she should check out that Abundatrade site. She could trade in her used cds, dvds, or all those books she’s got lying around to get stuff for the hoomans. Then she’d have a ton of the green stuff to spend on cool stuff for me like kitteh gardens, catnip, and mice!

It’s really easy to use. All she has to do is give Abundatrade a list of the stuff she’s got, and they’ll tell her what’s worth trading in. She’ll get points for the stuff she sends them, and then she can use the points to buy new stuff! I know she’s got a ton of books and cds around here. I like laying in the box of books under her desk, but I’d be willing to give up the book box if it means she’ll use the points to buy Dad his Playstation games or even electronics like that Xbox 360 he wants so bad! She could spend all that extra cash on me! Who knows, Abundatrade might even have something a kitteh like me would like. I wonder if they have any cool cat music or dvds.

What’s really cool is the Abundatrade people are in Mt Pleasant, SC. Mom’s aunt lives there, and that’s at the beach. Mom could save herself the hassle of shipping her stuff to Abundatrade because they offer a local drop off option. Maybe I should convince her to go to she her aunt, drop off her stuff, and take me to the beach!

Why is it so hard to find a nice warm spot to sleep around here?  I like to sleep on the back of the couch, but Mom has the living room shut off so she doesn’t have to heat that room.  My second favorite place to sleep is on top of the tv in Mom’s office, but she’s got one of those hot wax things up there.  We all know what happens when I step in the hot wax thing.  It burns me then Mom has to cut the wax out of my fur.  I don’t want to go there again!

I tried to curl up in bed with Dad, but he’s being a bed hog.  He knocked me off his pillow, then he almost squished me when he rolled over.  If I lay in the floor in front of the wood stove Bubba feels the need to join me, and I don’t want to sleep in a pool of slobber!

I guess I’ll just crawl up in Mom’s lap again whether she likes it or not!
